Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s/ Masters in International Relation/ International Development/ Humanitarian Programme/ Development Studies/Social or Political Science/Social work/Refugee & Conflict Studies/Disaster Management/Urban and Rural or Regional Planning/ Computer Science/ Information Technology from any UGC approved University/ Institution.
  • Professional Certification: CCCM.
Experience
  • At least 2 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency
Additional Requirements
  • Knowledge of emergency context, Site Management, Camp Management, monitoring, report writing, presentation preparation, and safeguarding
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and administration
  • Knowledge on people management, multiculturalism, Ethics and Supervision
  • Have computer skills with all Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Power Point, and Excel, Access), GIS, PowerBi, Mobile Data Collection Platforms
  • Have basic skills in graphics designing software (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Ability to perform advance data analysis process and data visualization
  • Ability to prepare analytical reports, presentations, case studies and showcase project activities through producing pictorial communication materials
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders in a sensitive environment

Responsibilities & Context

The role supports site management in information management particularly reports writing, service mapping and maintaining camp profiles. The post holder will ensure reports, meeting minutes and other documentation such as service mapping are of high standards. The post holder will also undertake project monitoring and evaluation, collect data and update site managers regularly for decision making purposes.

  1. S/he will be the key resource person for documentation and maintaining up-to-date information in camp context
  2. S/he will be the responsible person for the site management team’s knowledge management and learning documentation
  3. To develop an information management system including identifying existing gaps, ways and tools of information gathering, data entry, storage, and data analysis techniques
  4. To lead enumerators or project assistants during data collection including for surveys, needs assessments, service gap analysis, or any other relevant processes
  5. Produce high quality daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports both for BRAC’s internal reporting using BRAC’s reporting processes and formats and for external reporting using formats provided by UNHCR
  6. Participate in coordination meetings and any other meetings, take notes, and produce high quality meeting minutes and forward them to Camp Managers for final editing and dissemination
  7. Ensure updated service mapping, site profiles and any other rapid assessments as may be required
  8. Ensure a monitoring and evaluation system is developed to include indicators, tools, and methods of data collection and analysis as well as frequency of data collection
  9. Recruit and train enumerators/volunteers during data collection and other events such as service mapping and manage data collection exercises
  10. Accompany site management staff during camp visits and participate in discussions with communities geared towards enriched monitoring and reporting
  11. Provide daily incident reports on KoBo and train community mobilizers on the same
  12. Provide support to site management team through coordination efforts in service delivery and communication with stakeholders to avoid duplication in humanitarian service provision
  13. Undertake any other necessary duties as may be assigned by your supervisor

Quality and Accountability:

  1. Ensure compliance with BRAC and Donor rules and regulations
  2. Lead to prepare and submission of reports to BRAC and Donor
  3. Develop and implement MEAL system for SMS
  4. Exercise and reflection of Core Humanitarian Standards, Sphere, AAP, and other relevant humanitarian framework principles
  5. Assist Information Management Specialist in monitoring, and reconciliation

Stakeholders’ Coordination, Networking, Advocacy:

  1. Represent BRAC in coordination and networking platforms/groups within Sectors, Camp level and beyond
  2. Training and capacity building for the team
  3. Contribute to overall advocacy strategies
  4. Safety & Safeguarding:
  5. Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
  6. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  7. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
